Book Description
First Edition, 16 x 22.5 cm green simulated calf with white stamped trombone to the front, 947pp with a colour frontispiece and black and white illustrations throughout in its original dust jacket which is now protected by a clear removable cover (not shown). Signed, inscribed and dated by the author to the front free endpaper. Laid in is a programme of events for the IAJRC Convention in Hamburg in 1999 also signed by Selchow.
A lovely copy of this acclaimed study of one of the Swing Era’s most revered trombonist’s. There is the merest hint of a bruise on the front fore edge and a hint of spotting to the top edge. Packed full of information and illustrations on its subject’s life and music.
