(86) 1183pp.;large quarto.Recent reback, quarter calf, leather spine with five raised bands and contrasting red label with gilt lettering; text in black letter; neat repair to top edge of the title page, heavy browning in a few pages of the Tabula at the beginning and light browning throughout, bottom right corners of first three pages slightly torn but otherwise good clean condition. A collection of precedents of pleadings, arranged alphabetically. Sir Humphrey Winch was a judge and legal authority in England and Ireland in the late16th- early 17th centuries although his reputation was somewhat tarnished by his involvement in the Leicester Witch Trials of 1616.
