Large 4to.; xlviii, 336pp.; 61 steel engraved plates including frontispiece; handsome full red morocco, ornate gold tooling to covers and spine, marbled endpapers, spine with 5 raised bands, all edges gilt. Inscription on front endpaper, 'To Mrs Bancroft, with the Ry---'s affectionate regards. January 1st 1878.' Occasional light spotting and faint off-setting, slight rubbing to head of spine, otherwise clean and handsome copy, a very attractive item. Would make an excellent gift.
