4 volumes, 4to, 1552pp, engraved portrait + 84 plates (numbered incorrectly in a few instances), index. Modern quarter-calf, pages untrimmed as issued with large margins. Slight foxing to a few leaves in Volume 1, heavier foxing Volumes II & III, slight foxing volume IV. A few pencil marginal calculations.

Dealer Notes

Scarce - only 500 copies were printed. It contains all but 20 of the 270 known reports, on subjects as diverse as waterwheels and harbours, many with plans or diagrams. This set was purchased in 1873 by Mr B S Brundell, a consulting Civil Engineer at Doncaster.
