This is an early reprint dated on the inner dustwrapper flaps 1926…the first edition was published the previous year ie 1925. Characters featured include Amabel Grey ( the widow who moved into the house) , Jane Smith ( from a previous Wentworth novel “ the astonishing adventure of Jane Smith”),Molloy, the anarchist uncle and “ Piggy” chief of the C.I.D.
