Published in 1888, this is the first edition of this account of a strange floating and vanishing island on Derwentwater in the English Lake District, bound in the original bevelled edged boards, inscribed from the author on the half title page, some wear and light bubbling to cloth, internally front black endpaper a little worn at edges, cracking to front joint though still firm, browning to endpapers and light browning to page edges else in good acceptable condition
