An omnibus edition of Le Carre's first two novels, Call for the Dead (1961) and A Murder of Quality (1962).
In good condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean apart from a faint mark to the front board and the lettering on the spine is quite bright. There is minimal shelf wear to both edges of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from tears and inscriptions. There is foxing and toning to the top edge and foxing to the fore and bottom edges. There is foxing to the edges of most of the pages.
The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in fair condition with loss to the front return, loss to all the corners, a small tear to the edge of the front cover, a nick to the bottom edge of the front cover, loss to the top and bottom edges of the spine, a tear to the spine, nibbling to the top edge of the back cover, two small tears to the bottom edge of the back cover and loss and a small tear to the edge of the back cover.
Uncommon in its own right but an affordable option compared to the rarity and hence cost of buying first editions of Le Carre's first two novels.
Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
