Wolf Hall, Hilary Mantel, Fourth Estate, 2009, First Edition, First Impression Winner of the Man Booker Prize in 2009, the National Book Critics Circle Award, named by The Observer as one of "The 10 best historical novels" and adapted for TV by the BBC starring Mark Rylance as Thomas Cromwell, this is the first book of a trilogy. Set in the period from 1500 to 1535, this is a fictionalised biography documenting the rapid rise to power of Thomas Cromwell in the court of Henry VIII through to the death of Sir Thomas Moore. The book is in very good condition. The binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There is minimal shelf wear to the top and bottom edges of the spine. The end papered and pages are free from tears and inscriptions. There is foxing to the top and fore edges and a small mark to the bottom edge. There are small marks between the title page and the page before and two small indentations to each of these pages. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in near fine condition with a crease mark to the top corner of the front cover and a crease mark to the top corner of the back cover. Will be dispatched wrapped in bubblewrap and in a cardboard box.
