Overall a very good set in the original publishers different coloured dustwrappers. Five of the volumes have a neat contemporary previous owner name or inscription to the blank endpapers. A little foxing to the for edge of a couple of volumes, but otherwise all the volumes are clean and bright throughout. The wrappers are on the whole in very good condition with some minor rubbing and chipping to extremities and one neat repair to the bottom of the spine on The Unrelenting struggle. Overall a very good example of this important set. --- Complete sets of first editions in nice condition are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
