Bradshaw’s General Atlas with the latest Discoveries, printed and published by Bradshaw, Manchester 1836. In marbled card covers size 23 by 19 cm. Contains 33 single page maps, including maps of the two hemispheres; Asia; Palestine; North America; South America; the United States; Australia; India; China and Japan, and the West Indies. Some hand-colouring of frontiers and boundaries. The maps are engraved by Bradshaw and by Dower. No text to the reverse. In original binding with hand-sewing of text. The front cover has an attractive inset gold-stamped title. The foot of the spine is worn and the corners of the covers rubbed. With these qualifications the atlas is in Good to VG condition and is cased in a VG to Mint modern slipcase
