Churchill By His Contemporaries, Edited by Charles Eade, Hutchinson, 1953, First Edition, First Impression Published to coincide with Winston Churchill's 80th birthday, this book consists of chapters written by people who either knew him or worked with him including his secretary, President Eisenhower and even Adolf Hitler. The book is in near fine condition. The binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There is a crease mark to the top corner of the front board and shelf wear to the spine. The foxed end papers and pages are free from tears and inscriptions. There are marks to the fore and bottom edges. The top edge retains its original blue tint. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in fair condition with loss to all the corners. loss and a small nick to the top edge, nibbling and a small nick to the bottom edge of the front cover, loss to both the top and bottom edges of the sunned spine. creases to the top edge of the back over, creases to the bottom edge of the back cover and marks to the back cover. Rare to find this book with a dust jacket. Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
