The Second World War (6 Volumes)

Book Description
The Second World War (6 Volumes), Winston S. Churchill, Cassell, First Edition, First Impressions
A series of six volumes chronicling the Second World War in enormous detail and illustrated throughout by numerous maps and diagrams. Churchill used his own notes and privileged access to official documents while still serving as Leader of the Opposition. He was awarded the 1953 Nobel Prize In Literature.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to find very good sets of this monumental work. Most are characterised by torn and ripped dust jackets due to the economy paper used at the time, faded red tint to the top edge, mildew affected boards and faded to the point of missing red titles to the spine. This set has as prominent titles to the spine as we have seen (indeed titling to the front covers is superb), so much more appealing when side on on the shelf.
Each volume is a First Edition, First Impression with a dust jacket protected in a clear, removable cover.

The unclipped dust jacket is in good condition with loss to the corners. loss to the edge of the font cover, loss to the top edge of the front cover, a tear to the bottom edge of the front cover, loss and nibbling to the top edge of the spine, a small nick to the bottom edge of the spine, loss to the top edge of the back cover and a mark to the bottom edge of the back cover.
