Folio. [2], iii, [1], iv, ii, iv, 592, xl p. Portrait, 3 maps (a large and decorative county map, map of Romney Marsh, and a map of Thanet) , 39 plates by Kip and Badeslade of which 35 are double page. Panoramic view of Rochester and Chatham and another of the Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells. Diced calf binding with normal shelf rubbing to the corners, rebacked and the original spine re-laid. The original marbled endpapers are still in place. The portrait is laid down with old paste marks visible on the recto and there is a paper repair to the blank for edge of the title page. There are faint but unobtrusive damp spots at the foot of many leaves, otherwise clean and tight, otherwise clean and tight.
