‘Le Musee Des Sorciers Mages et Alchimists’ ~ by Grillot de Givry; pub by Librairie de France, Paris, 1929; 1st Edition, book is all in French; book has been rebound into black buckram with title on spine in gilt and new front and back end papers; many of the pages in the book are uncut, both top & side and maybe some bottom edges, so buyer needs to be careful otherwise it would be easy to rip pages and spoil the book; 4to format, 444pp + 9 colour plates; there doesn’t appear to be an index of the contents, colour illustr nor b&w illustr; there are some notes on an inside page relating to the rebinding of the book which is interesting, there is a small tear at the top of the same inside page and some foxing on the front inside cover and back inside cover; the original part of the book is a little worn in a few places – obviously it has been well used! – otherwise the book is tight in the binding and other than stated is in good condition; book weighs 2.4k.
