Dealer Notes
This wonderful illustrated book, published in 1926, offers a glimpse into the collection of 'Works of Art and Literature' of the late Sir Edward Allen Brotherton, at his home in Leeds, Roundhay Hall. A large-format illustrated book, it contains information about the house — a Grade II listed building that is now a hospital — and many high quality, full-page reproductions of works of art and literature in Brotherton's collection, including mediaeval manuscripts, works printed by William Caxton and many of the most famous pieces of English literature (Chaucer, Tennyson etc.). A truly unique and fascinating book that has reached the present day in good condition.
