Book Description

Sharpe's Gold, Bernard Cornwell, Collins, 1981, Signed First Edition, First Impression Adapted into a TV series starring Sean Bean as Richard Sharpe, this is the second book in the series to be published. The story is set in August 1810 and features the destruction of Almeida during the Peninsular War. The title page has been signed by the author without personal dedication. There is a neat ownership name on the back of the front board. This is a Signed First Edition, First Impression in very good condition. The binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the gilt lettering on the spine bright. There is a little shelf wear to the top and bottom edge of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from tears or inscriptions. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in near fine condition with ever so slightly sunned spine otherwise no issues. Rarely seen in such excellent condition, this would make an impressive addition to a library or a wonderful gift. Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
