The stories cover Grahame's own childhood experiences. fantasy, metaphor and ancient Greek legends. The book contains nineteen colour illustrations by R.J. Enraght-Mooney. In near fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. There is some rubbing to the front end paper. The top edge retains its original red tint. The dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in good condition with loss to all the corners, marks to the front cover, two tears and two small nick to the top edge of the front cover, loss to the top edge of the spine, marks to the edges of the spine, a tear, crease marks and two small nicks to the top edge of the back cover and loss and a small tear to the bottom edge of the back cover Rare to find this book in a dust jacket. Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
