The Life Of Thomas More, Peter Ackroyd, Chatto & Windus, 1998, Signed First Edition, First Impression A biography of Thomas More, renowned statesman, author of a political fantasy and most famously a Catholic martyr and saint. The title page has been signed by the author with no personal dedication. In near fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There is a crease mark to the bottom edge of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. The unclipped dust jacket is in very good condition with a white mark to the front cover, a crease mark to the bottom corner of the front cover and spine and slight nibbling to the top edge of the spine and back cover. Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
