No dates but circa 1820-1840. Issued in 52 parts, these copies folded as issued with no evidence of binding.
John Pitts (1765-1844) traded from Great St. Andrews Street, Seven Dials, London: at no. 6 (occasionally recorded as 9), advertised as a Toy and Marble Warehouse, from 1820-1844.
This collection has issues number 8, 10, 11, 17, 23, 29, 33, 40, and 42 not all of which are in the British Library collection of this title. Each song sheet consist of a single page folded into four, giving eight numbered pages. The issues are numbered consecutively. Most are in crisp and clean condition; a few are a trifle dusty and some pages are separating at folds, but overall a Very Good Plus group of uncommon songsters. Each bears a vignette illustration to the front page.
