xxii-errata-430 pp including the two title pages. The sale of 3116 lots took place over 25 days in July 1844.The initial pages give a description of the sale to come and some province followed by a 15-page index. Prices achieved and with buyers' names throughout written neatly in ink, to blank margins. Age browning to pages a few pages creased where folded over to very bottom blank margin edge. The first title page shows faint sign of a name? being erased to top and bottom blank margins. Owner ship names to front end paper, the contents tight with no loss. Bound in a contemporary half calf rubbing to edges and more so to corners, surface rubbing to the marble paper covered boards. The binding tight with no splits. An important collector Thomas was a grocer in Oxford Street and a major coin collector.
