In near fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There is minimal shelf wear to the bottom edge of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from marks and tears. There is a slight amount of running to the front end paper. The top edge retains some of its original red tint. The unclipped dust jacket is in very good condition to the corners of the front cover, two smalls tears and nibbling to the top edge of the spine, loss to the bottom edge of the spine and two small indentations to the back cover. Volume II - The New World - 1956 There is a neat owners plate with name and date to the rear of the front board. In very good condition the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There are crease marks to all the corners, an indentation to the edge of the front board and slight shelf wear to the top and bottom edges of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from marks and tears. There is a slight amount of rubbing to the front end paper. The top edge retains its original red tint. The unclipped dust jacket is in good condition with loss to the top corner of the front cover, a crease mark to the top edge of the front cover, foxing to the front cover, slight nibbling to the top edge of the front cover, crease marks to the top and bottom edges of the spine, two marks to the spine, three small tears to to the top edge of the back cover and foxing to the back cover. Volume III - The Age of Revolution - 1957 There is a neat owners plate with name and date to the front end paper. In fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There is minimal shelf wear to the bottom edge of the spine.
