The Picture Of Everest, Alfred Gregory, Hodder and Stoughton Ltd, 1954, First Edition, First Impression With an introduction by Sir John Hunt, this is a book of full-colour reproductions of photographs of the Everest scene taken from the original coloured pictures photographed by members of the British Mount Everest Expedition 1953. In very good condition, the binding is straight and tight and the lettering on the spine bright. There is a mark to the top edge of the front board, a mark to the edge of the front board, a mark to the bottom edge of the front board, a mark to the bottom edge of the spine and marks to the bottom edge of the back board. The end papers and pages are free from marks and inscriptions. There is nibbling to the top edge of the front end paper. The unclipped dust jacket is in good condition with loss to the top corner of the front cover, a mark to the top edge of the front cover, a sunned spine, loss to the top edge of the spine, nibbling to the top edge of the spine, a mark to the bottom edge of the back cover and a mark to the back cover. Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
