Humming Bird
Book Description
Humming Bird, Eleanor Farjeon, Michael Joseph, 1936, First Edition, First Impression with dust jacket
Written by the English author of children's books, this is a story which stretches from the dawn of eighteenth century France to the end of the nineteenth in England.
A very and uncommon early Eleanor Farjeon volume, made especially rare by the presence of the original dust jacket, unseen elsewhere to our knowledge.
In very good condition, the binding is tight with a slight lean, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. The end papers and pages are free from marks and inscriptions. There is a tear to the join of the front end papers.
The brightly designed unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in fair condition with loss to all the corners, nibbling, loss and a small tear to the top edge of the front cover, loss and nibbling to the bottom edge of the front cover, loss to the top and bottom edge of the spine, loss to the front edge of the spine, loss, nibbling, a tear and a crease mark to the top edge of the back cover and the loss and a small tear to the bottom edge of the back cover.
This book is unseen with a dust jacket making it an impressive addition to a library or a wonderful gift.
Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
