SECOND EDITION 'ENLARGED.' Based upon the 20 page pamphlet published at Bury St Edmunds by Kinderley in 1721.' Nathaniel Kinderley the Elder was an engineer ahead of his time, who from 1720 agitated for cuts in the Nene below Wisbech and in the Ouse above King's Lynn. His proposals met with much opposition both in Wisbech and King's Lynn, but the Wisbech cut, called after him Kinderley's Cut, was made in 1773, and the Eau Brink Cut in 1821.'
